Zulip chat is a corporate messenger with the ability to create threads, just like in email. With a real-time messaging system, you can set up team communication, create channels to publish news and project information, and employees can communicate with each other via private messages.
Beget VPS with pre-installed Zulip is a threaded messaging platform deployed for you and ready-to-go, with a configured domain name and SSL certificate.

Zulip server installation and initial configuration
During server creation, you will need to provide the following additional information:
- The domain that will be used to access your Zulip instance. If you don't have a domain in our system yet, we will provide you a free .beget.app technical domain with a pre-installed SSL certificate.
- The name of your organization or community.
- The full name of the administrator that will be displayed in the chat messages on behalf of the administrator.
- Admin Email address that will be used to log in on behalf of the administrator.

Once the server is created, the deployment of your Zulip will begin. This process usually takes about 10 minutes. Once completed, your server will be ready to run and you will receive a notification.

FAQ
No, there is no limit on the number of users, messages, or uploads. The number of concurrent users Zulip can serve depends only on the performance of the server.
If you start experiencing stability or performance issues as your workload increases, we recommend that you change your virtual server configuration to a more efficient one. It can be done in your control panel.
To fully restart the Zulip services, follow these steps:
- Connect to the server via ssh:
ssh root@my-ip(my-ipis the IP address of your virtual server). - Change the user to
zulipwith the commandsudo -iu zulip. - Run the command
~/deployments/current/scripts/restart-server.
You can also restart just some of the services. To do this, use the supervisorctl restart <service-name> and service <service-name> restart commands.
Detailed information about Zulip services and troubleshooting can be found in the official documentation.
