AlmaLinux 9 is a free fork of RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) which was created by the community with the CloudLinux support. The mission of the creators of AlmaLinux was to give the community a free operating system which is binary compatible with RedHat Enterprise Linux, but does not use the continuous upgrade concept to which CentOS Stream development has moved.
Thanks to full binary compatibility, AlmaLinux open-source operating system can run all the programs which were previously run on RedHat Enterprise Linux.
The Beget VPS with pre-installed AlmaLinux 9 is a cloud-based Linux distribution ready to run in minutes.
AlmaLinux 9 features

- GCC 11.2
- Apache 2.4.51
- MySQL 8.0

What AlmaLinux 9 is good for
AlmaLinux is a universal distribution. It can completely replace RedHat Enterprise Linux or CentOS. AlmaLinux provides a more predictable order of updates (like RHEL), but remains free and open, like CentOS Stream.
